We are sharing with you the report of activities implemented by the Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression (SCM) within the framework of the United Nations human rights mechanisms for the period 2021-2024. These activities focused on combating impunity and violations such as enforced disappearance, torture, and arbitrary detention, with a focus on violations against media professionals, freedom of expression, and the rights of women and children.
SCM have submitted 134 individual complaints, 17 general allegations, and 8 reports for the Universal Periodic Review, in addition to 22 oral interventions at the Human Rights Council sessions.
The period 2021-2024 also witnessed extensive cooperation with human rights organisations and victims’ associations, and contributions to the submission of complaints and legal studies.
