The Hearing will take place in the Hague on 16 and 17 May, in The Hague Hearing Center. The hearing is organised in partnership with Reporters without Borders, the Committee to Protect Journalists and the Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression. The working language of the hearing will be English, with translation to Arabic provided.

During the hearing, witnesses will provide testimony during both days. Witnesses include Syrian journalists and relatives of journalists murdered in reprisal for their work, as well as witnesses who knew Nabil Al-Sharbaji and will provide testimony about his journalistic work, life, and treatment in prison.
