Photographers can submit digital photos to a contest.

The National Geographic Traveler photo contest seeks entries across three categories: nature, cities and people.

The contest features prizes of US$500 to US$2,500 and a 10-day National Geographic Galápagos Expedition for two.

Citizens of the United States, India, Canada (excluding Quebec), United Kingdom, Australia, Austria, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Bangladesh, China, Japan, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Indonesia, Spain, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sweden, Turkey, Switzerland and Taiwan are eligible.

The deadline to apply is June 30. There is a US$15 entry fee.
