Professional journalists from developing countries can apply for a fellowship to cover these conferences.
The Climate Change Media Partnership, managed by Internews’ Earth Journalism Network and the Stanley Foundation, will send journalists to both the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco and the 24th Conference of the Parties (COP 24) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Katowice, Poland.
The fellowship will enable up to 20 journalists to cover the summits for their home media organizations, work with experienced journalists from around the world and gain a multifaceted understanding of climate change’s global impact.
Fellows will receive airfare, hotel, meals, transportation and other services.
Applicants must demonstrate an interest in climate change issues and have a good command of English.
The deadline is April 29.
