Individuals outside Germany can submit video or audio pieces focusing on common cultural heritage and its potential for identification, participation and development.
The International Citizen Media Award, organized by the Bürgerhaus Bennohaus in Germany, is open to individuals, groups, associations, civil initiatives, producers, actors and editorial teams.
Entries may include an individual product, a short movie, a movie in a television broadcast, a radio spot or a video/audio podcast created by private, non-commercial producers.
In the video category, the first, second and third place winner will receive EUR700 (US$755), EUR400 (US$431) and EUR200 (US$215). In the audio category, the winner will receive EUR300 (US$323).
Entries may be in English or the native language with English subtitles and translation. They must have been created between January 2016 and February 2017.
The deadline is Feb. 28.
