Middle East reporting fellowship seeks applications [Worldwide]

Deadline: NOVEMBER 26, 2017

Freelance journalists who want to report stories in the Middle East can apply for this program.

The GroundTruth Project, in partnership with the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation, offers a US$10,000 fellowship.

The fellowship will support a freelance journalist who wants to report stories in the Middle East that are under-covered by the mainstream media.

Applicants should present a proposal for stories about education, health, culture, art, food, faith or other expressions of life in a region where too often reporters only focus on conflict.

The selected fellow will receive a stipend, a budget, as well as medical insurance and field reporting expenses. The fellowship also includes mentorship and editorial support.

The deadline is Nov. 26. 2017.
