Journalists who have developed business endeavors that address social needs are encouraged to apply for this fellowship in Chicago.
In partnership with Chicago Ideas Week, the Bluhm/Helfand Social Innovation Fellowship will grant visionary leaders with community support, exposure to successful business leaders and a US$10,000 financial contribution for their business project.
The fellowship was established by two philanthropists and entrepreneurs, Leslie Bluhm and David Helfand, who wish to help the next social innovators and entrepreneurs confront social needs.
The winning recipients will be hosted in Chicago during Chicago Ideas Week on Oct. 16 to 22, with all expenses paid.
Applicants must be 35 years old or younger and working as for-profit or nonprofit social entrepreneurs.
