Journalists with at least five years of experience who report on social, economic or political conditions in the United States can apply for a fellowship in New York.
The Russell Sage Foundation Visiting Journalist Fellowship provides journalists an opportunity to carry out their projects while interacting with resident visiting scholars. The next program will take place Sept. 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.
Possible research topics include behavioral economics; future of work; race, ethnicity and immigration; and social inequality.
Visiting journalists receive an honorarium of US$8,000 per month for one to three months, an office at the Foundation, computers and software, library access and limited research assistance. Applicants who reside outside of the greater New York area will be provided with a partially-subsidized apartment.
The deadline is May 1.
