Job title: Refoulement Documentation Officer
Program/ Project/ Department: Refoulement Department
Positions available: 1 vacancy.
Duration of the contract: 12 months (including a 3-month probation period).

Work Station: Remote, based in Jordan
Roles and Responsibilities:
–Building a network of relationships with individuals and stakeholders.
–Representing the center during the networking process in coordination with the line manager and other SCM’s departments in accordance with the center’s internal policies and procedures.
–Monitoring and following up on the news related to Syrian refugees in surrounding host countries, through Arab and foreign open sources and private sources.
–Reviewing and following up the past events and violations against refugees in surrounding host countries through open and private sources, and archiving the latest developments within the documentation’s database system.
–Communicating with witnesses and victims to document and archive their testimonies within the center’s forms.
–Following up with witnesses and victims in order to provide them with their testimony status updates
–Documenting and archiving information, documents, and data into the center’s documentation database system attached with the associated proofs and evidence.
–Ensure that all policies adopted at the center are adherence, including the digital security policy.
–Maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of information and the people with whom it is dealt with in any case
–Completing the assigned tasks within the specified time.
-Any other tasks assigned by the project manager or the line manager.
Requirement, Skills, and Experience:
-Relevant university degree or equivalent experience (preferably with a degree in law or social sciences)
-Experience in the context of Lebanon and Jordan, and having a wide network of relations in the same countries.
-At least one year of relevant experience.
-Proficiency in using computer and internet programs related to the work (Google Drive, Microsoft Office).
-Significant and detailed knowledge of the Syrian context especially regarding the involved actors in the conflict.
-Good knowledge of legal terminology and violations against refugees in neighboring countries.
-High teamwork/communication skills.
-Good organizational skills, multitasking work skills, and time management.
-Flexibility to adapt to meet the changing requirements.
-Adhere to the beneficiaries ‘policy and humanitarian/human rights principles and ethics.
-Fluency in Arabic and knowledge of English are needed. Kurdish or Turkish is a plus
