New York Times offers online course for bloggers [Worldwide]

The New York Times Knowledge Network is offering “How to Start a Blog,” a two-week course designed for beginners to be held November 7-20.

The Times’ blog specialist Jeremy Zilar and editor Kathleen McElroy will teach participants how to fine-tune their concept, find the right platform, add audio and visual elements, use social tools for promotion and more.

The course features three live sessions with the instructors, daily self-paced lessons, discussion forums and resources.

Participants must pay a US$110 course fee, though a self-paced version without live online instruction is available for US$85.
