About SCM:
The Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression (SCM) is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit civil society organization founded in 2004. It works to achieve justice, defend human rights, promote media freedom, support civil society, and encourage active citizenship. The center has gained expertise in combating impunity and promoting the rule of law. The center has held special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2011. Its work focuses on documenting human rights violations and presenting legal cases to hold perpetrators accountable, strengthening the role of victims and their families, and supporting journalists, human rights defenders, and independent media to build democracy and support civil peace. The center has established a developed database to serve as a reference for transitional justice processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Organize the logistical aspects of trainings and events (booking venues, accommodation, travel, catering, etc.).
- Coordinate with relevant authorities to obtain the necessary official approvals for implementing activities.
- Prepare required paperwork and ensure proper archiving (attendance lists, invoices, service contracts, etc.).
- Communicate with local vendors, hotels, and suppliers to secure the necessary logistical services.
- Prepare brief reports documenting the logistical arrangements for each activity.
- Support the administrative team in daily operational tasks related to the project.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluation by collecting feedback from participants and suppliers, tracking attendance and service quality, and reporting on lessons learned to improve future activities.
Requirement, Skills, and Experience:
- Preferably, training or courses in Event Management, Procurement, or Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E).
- Work Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics management, event organization, or administrativ.e support within projects o.r organizations…..
- Experience in coordinating with suppliers, hotels, and local service providers.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain proper documentation.
- Experience in data collection for monitoring and evaluation purposes is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word, and familiarity with project management or data organization tools.
