Young journalists from Syria, Yemen, Palestine, Iraq, Sudan and Libya can apply for this fellowship.

The Lazord Fellowship is a yearlong regional program starting September 2018 with chapters in Egypt, Jordan and Tunisia. The fellowship offers mentoring and internships in organizations striving to advance the common good.

The program seeks to empower fellows to develop a critical understanding of civic engagement and improve their leadership and technical skills for their future careers.

Applicants must have graduated in 2016 or later and be available to attend the annual regional retreat Sept. 23 to 29 in Jordan.

Fellows will receive a living stipend.

The deadline is July 1.
