Journalists are invited to submit inspiring stories for a chance to win up to US$5,000.

The Epoch Times seeks submissions of short articles, written in journalistic style, with viral potential on social media for its 2017 Inspiring the World Journalism Competition.

Entries must be 500 to 1,000 words long and highlight stories of compassion, redemption and triumph in the face of adversity abound.

The first, second and third place winners will receive US$5,000, US$3,000 and US$1,500, respectively. There is also an honorable mention prize worth US$200.

The deadline is 18 Sept. 2017.
