ARIJ hosts investigative reporting contest [MENA]

Deadline: NOVEMBER 10, 2017

Journalists from Arab countries who have produced investigations through ARIJ or investigated an issue on their own are eligible for this prize.

The The Arab Arab Reporters For Investigative Journalism (ARIJ), based in Jordan, has launched its 2017 investigative journalism prize.

The contest is open to journalists working in four media categories: print, short investigative film (7 to 20 minutes in length), feature film (20 to 40 minutes in length) and multimedia investigations.

Works can be in English or Arabic and must have been published or broadcast between Nov 10, 2016 and Nov 10, 2017.

Winners will have the opportunity to join ARIJ’s team by applying for workshops that enhance their investigation skills. Also, ARIJ will provide mentors to assist journalists who aim to complete an investigation, in addition to a financial grant covering the costs of investigation and legal counseling before publishing the report.

The deadline is Nov. 10.
