The Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression is looking for an IT manager to join our team as soon as possible.

Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression (SCM) is an independent non-governmental non-profit organization. We seek to build a society that guarantees freedom of expression and belief, human rights, and justice. Our vision is a democratic world based on justice, freedom, equality, and respect for human rights and dignity.

Since its establishment in 2004, we work to defend oppressed individuals due to their beliefs or opinions, as well as promote human rights and support and develop independent, critical and professional media. SCM is in special consultative status with UN ECOSOC since 2011.

Location: Europe/ Turkey.

Tasks:

1. Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT  systems and services.
2. Monitor performance of information technology systems.
3. to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
4. Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes Analyse business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organisation to develop solutions for IT needs.

Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. 2-5 years of experience working in IT operations.
3. Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
4. Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, AZURE administrator CERT is a must”, databases and data storage systems.
5. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
6. Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritise.
