Program/ Project/ Department: Victim Groups Support (VGS) Project

Positions available: 1 vacancies

Duration of the contract: 11 months with a 3-month trial period 

“possibility of extension”

Roles and Responsibilities:

Grant Management

  • Supervise the entire lifecycle of grant, from proposal/modification development to reporting, ensuring alignment with EU requirements and SCM standards.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of EU guidelines, policies, and compliance regulations.
  • Collaborate with program / project managers and other departments to gather necessary information for grant applications and reports.
  • Update grants management tools and information including but not limited to donor reporting tracker, and Grant tracker.
  • Assist in preparing, facilitating and following up on grant meetings for SCM and Partners (kick-off meetings, review meetings, project closure meetings).

Reporting

  • Manage reporting workflows and processes between program teams, senior leadership, and Partners to ensure high-quality and timely development and review of reports.
  • Prepare necessary tools for report development with detailed requests for data provision.
  • Develop and prepare high-quality, timely reports for the EU, ensuring all EU reporting requirements are met and positioned to demonstrate SCMs leadership in programming.
  • Support the Project / Program manager in providing timely, thorough responses to information requests from internal and external sources.
  • Proposal Development
  • Support the Project / Program manager in overseeing partners and SCM proposals/modifications, including draft, review, update and producing high quality proposals or modification requests.
  • Collect contributions and compile inputs from programme staff, technical advisors, and partners (if relevant) in line with the proposal development plan.

Monitoring

  • Work closely with program M&E staff to ensure credible, best-practice monitoring and reporting of program activities in accordance with SCM and donor requirements.

Other

  •  Other tasks as assigned by the Project / Program manager.

Requirement, Skills, and Experience:

  • At least 2 years of professional experience with an international / national development organization.
  • Familiarity with  EU donors with special attention to reporting requirements.
  • Ability to represent SCM to international donors, government officials, local groups and community members.
  • Proven analytical and writing skills
  • Proven communication, interpersonal, representation, negotiation, promotion and diplomacy skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships in a multi-ethnic, multicultural and multi-disciplinary environment
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and willingness to learn from others
  • Strong initiative and self-motivated
  • Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and fluent oral English and Arabic.
  • Fluency in French is an asset
