Roles and Responsibilities:

• Data Processing & Classification
  • Enter, organize, and clean data extracted from Brand24.
  • Maintain structured Excel sheets with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Classify and categorize data by themes, sentiment, topic, and relevance.
  • Ensure consistency, data integrity, and proper documentation of methodologies used.
• Fact Checking & Context Research
  • Conduct background research and verify information using reputable media outlets, academic sources, and trusted publications.
  • Provide brief literature reviews and summaries related to events, narratives, and developments in the Syrian context.
  • Monitor news and trends relevant to Syria, ensuring accurate and up-to-date contextual information.

• Transcription Support
  • Transcribe recorded interviews with experts and stakeholders in both English and Arabic.
  • Ensure accurate, well-formatted transcripts with attention to nuance, clarity, and confidentiality.

Requirement, Skills, and Experience:

• Fluency in Arabic and English or Kurdish, written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Excel (data entry, sorting, filtering, and basic cleaning functions).
• Be dialect sensitive- dialects of different regions in Syria
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
• Ability to conduct reliable fact-checking and desk research.
• Good understanding of the Syrian context (political, social, and media landscape).
