Call for Service Providers – Web Developer

The Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression (SCM) is seeking a Web Developer to build a website for a newly established association of Families of Missing Asylum Seekers. The project requires the following tasks and specifications:

1. Website Design and Development:

  • Develop a modern and user-friendly website compatible with various operating systems.
  • Ensure full SEO optimization to rank highly in Google search results.
  • Create a responsive design that supports all devices (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile).
  • Provide multilingual support as needed.
  • Implement a flexible content management system (CMS) that allows the team to update information easily.
  • Ensure the highest standards of digital security and encryption, complying with the EU GDPR data protection regulations.

2. Testing and Delivery:

  • Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure the website is error-free and optimized for performance.
  • Provide a user manual for the website, including administration instructions and future updates.

3. Technical Support and Maintenance:

  • Offer technical support throughout the contract period to address any technical issues.
  • Provide training for the center’s team on content management and updates.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in website development and design.
  • Proficiency in key programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Python (or others as needed).
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, Joomla.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and cybersecurity measures.
  • Expertise in database integration and working with APIs.
  • Skills in User Experience (UX) design and User Interface (UI) design.
  • Ability to work flexibly and communicate effectively with the team.

Required Documents:

  • Resume.
  • A detailed financial proposal including the total cost and validity period of the offer.
  • Previous work samples of developed websites (links or files).
  • Proof of experience from similar projects (reports, certificates, recommendations).
  • At least two professional references that can be contacted.

Work location: Online.

 Evaluation Criteria:

  • Trainer’s experience and ability to conduct similar training: 70%
  • Financial proposal: 30%

Proposals sent to a different email address or without attachments will be rejected.

We also encourage interested applicants to send any questions for clarification before submitting their financial proposals
