Vacancy details:
Job title: Communications Officer
Program/ Project/ Department: Policies, Advocacy and communication
Positions available: 1 vacancy.
Duration of the contract: 12 months (including a 3-month probation period).

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team and management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy.
- Manage SCM website and social media outlets, ensuring maximum visibility of the organization’s activities and achievements.
- Monitor SCM’s presence in the Media coverage and assess appropriate actions according to the communications strategy.
- Document website and SM outlets’ traffic and performance, in close coordination with the MEAL team.
- Maintain SCM contact database and updating when necessary.
- Manage several general inquiry email inboxes, ensuring all inquiries are answered or forwarded to the relevant department.
- Disseminate content on SCM website and social media outlets in addition to mailing lists when requested.
- Produce visual content in accordance with SCM’s visual standards and identity in cooperation with SCM’s designer.
- Ensure all SCM content aligns with the organization’s message and mission.
- Coordinate and develop publication campaigns for SCM studies/ reports with the relevant departments.
- Corroborate with policies, advocacy and communication department’s volunteers and interns.
- Hold the policies, advocacy and communication department’s trackers and internal documents and resources, ensuring they are up-to-date.
- Participate in communications-related bid analysis and rebranding process, providing technical expertise.
- Protect the confidentiality and privacy of beneficiaries in all cases and whatever the documents and data.
- Perform any other task assigned by the line manager.
Requirement, Skills, and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (Journalism, Communication or Political and Social Studies).
- Up to 3 years of experience in a similar position, NGO-context preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in the main relevant technical areas: context-oriented interpersonal communication, informative and forward communication, integrated marketing communication (IMC), audiovisuals (photography, videography, sound, etc.), social media environments and developments, and creative and critical thinking.
- Proven previous experience in managing professional and organizational social media pages/ accounts AND utilizing common posting/ scheduling tools.
- Proven knowledge of using relevant softwares/ programs: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Premier.
- Proven previous experience in email marketing and communication and website management.
- Knowledge of using Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Strong skills in written and spoken English and Arabic.
