Job title: Finance Officer
Program/ Project/ Department: Operations Department

Roles and Responsibilities:
Managing the financial operations and ensuring sound financial practices within the organization. Under the supervision of the Accounting manager, the Finance officer will have the following tasks and responsibilities (include but not limited to):
–Prepare and maintain financial records, including budgets, financial statements, and reports.
–Monitor the organization’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant regulations.
–Oversee the financial aspects of grants, projects, and programs, including budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting
–Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets for the organization and its projects.
–Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for budget adjustments and cost control measures.
–Review subgrantees’ financial expenditures against their corresponding, most-recent budgets.
–Maintain a real-time subgrantee financial tracker in order to executively illustrate the financial progress for each of the subgrantees’ budget burnout.
–Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders, such as donors, and auditors.
–Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements, both internally and externally.
-Provide financial information and analysis to support program managers and project teams.
–Assist in the financial aspects of grant applications, including budget preparation and financial reporting.
-Lead the design and delivery of technical financial capacity-building activities (training, coaching, etc.) in support of subgrantees’ compliance and quality financial management.
-Monitor grant expenditures, ensure compliance with donor regulations, and prepare financial reports for donors.
–Maintain effective communication with donors regarding financial matters, including budget revisions and financial queries.
-Conduct periodic internal audits and financial reviews to identify risks and recommend improvements.
–Actively participate in internal and external meetings, training(s) and discussion sessions in the framework of the implementation of assigned grant(s).
Requirement, Skills, and Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are advantageous.
-Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in the financial sector.
-Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
-Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
-Familiarity with donor requirements and grant management is desirable.
-Fluency in both Arabic and English
