{"id":208474,"date":"2026-04-15T21:50:27","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T19:50:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/scm.bz\/?p=208474"},"modified":"2026-04-15T21:56:50","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T19:56:50","slug":"call-for-service-providers-trainer-in-transitional-justice-en","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scm.bz\/en\/call-for-service-providers-trainer-in-transitional-justice-en\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Service Providers &#8211; Trainer in Transitional Justice"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Within the framework of the Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression\u2019s work to support transitional justice processes in Syria and to enhance their inclusivity and representation, the Center is implementing a project aimed at empowering youth (aged 18 to 29) and strengthening their capacity to actively engage in transitional justice processes and contribute to the work of relevant national bodies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project includes conducting specialized trainings on transitional justice and youth engagement, organizing dialogue tables that bring together youth and key stakeholders, and supporting the development of youth-led policy papers, thereby contributing to enriching public debates and shaping directions related to transitional justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accordingly, the Center announces its intention to contract a service provider (Trainer in Transitional Justice) to conduct <strong>two in-person trainings in Damascus,<\/strong> each lasting four days. These trainings will target youth from legal backgrounds and those interested in legal matters, as well as youth affected by the conflict (aged 18 to 29), in accordance with the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Preparation of Work Plan and Training Materials<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Design an interactive training methodology and develop specialized training materials covering transitional justice in the Syrian context, including processes, comparative experiences, youth engagement, advocacy, and policy influence, with a focus on youth participation in transitional justice processes and bodies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide a detailed timeline outlining the training phases and implementation steps.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Training Implementation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct two interactive trainings (4 days each) in Damascus for approximately 20 participants per training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use participatory training methods and provide practical examples and case studies, including relevant comparative experiences, to enhance practical understanding and develop participants\u2019 skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Final Report Submission<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare a comprehensive training report, including performance evaluation, analysis of results, and recommendations for future interventions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in training on transitional justice and related topics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven experience in designing and delivering training sessions and preparing interactive training materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong familiarity with the Syrian context, including patterns of violations, conflict actors, and dynamics relevant to transitional justice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in training youth or other stakeholders in transitional contexts is an added advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken) is essential, as the training will be delivered in Arabic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Residence in Syria or readiness and ability to travel to Syria during the training period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Required Documents<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Curriculum Vitae (CV).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial proposal including validity (duration, date, and signature).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of experience from similar projects (certificates, reports, work samples).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least two professional references.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Work Location and Dates<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> Damascus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Training Dates:<\/strong> Second half of May 2026 (tentative, subject to change), to conduct two trainings of 4 days each.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Evaluation Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trainer\u2019s experience and capacity to prepare and deliver the required training \u2013 <strong>70%<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial proposal \u2013 <strong>30%<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Submission Instructions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested service providers must submit their proposals <strong>by email only<\/strong> (with attachments) to the email address indicated in the table below, with the subject line: <strong>\u201cTrainer in Transitional Justice\u201d<\/strong>. Proposals sent to any other email address or without attachments will be rejected.<br>We also encourage interested applicants to submit any questions for clarification prior to proposal submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be notified within one week of the submission deadline.
