This grants us access to UN bodies such as the Human Rights Council and the Special Procedures, and enables us to facilitate access to other Syrian civil society organisations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">In 2017, we are facilitating Syrian civil society advocacy efforts through the UN human rights system, and to Syrian and international political actors with a concentration on the Human Rights Council and other Geneva-based bodies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">We also provide technical support to Syrian civil society organisations on the workings of the UN human rights system.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We believe that the active participation of Syrian civil society in the peace process is paramount for building sustainable peace in Syria.
