Baytna Syria<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>is seeking to recruit an Accountant responsible for performing general accounting, and ensuring accurate accounting systems and record keeping. The Accountant reports directly to the Finance Manager and coordinates activities with the Finance Officer. The Accountant liaises with the assigned CPA.<\/strong><\/div>\n

Main Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.<\/strong>\u00a0Maintains the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all transactions; prepare entries to the general and subsidiary ledgers to assure accuracy and compliance with the organization’s and established accounting principles<\/p>\n

2.<\/strong>\u00a0Responsible for monthly and year end closing of the general ledger including preparation of journal entries.<\/p>\n

3.<\/strong>\u00a0Responsible for maintaining computerized accounting system, backup control, assisting other accounting staff with questions and printing of computer generated reports and statements.<\/p>\n

4.<\/strong>\u00a0Stays current with developments, practice trends and promulgations in the accounting profession; monitors accounting systems and recommends new or revised policies and procedures.<\/p>\n

5.<\/strong>\u00a0Prepares monthly bank reconciliation for all accounts; verifies accuracy of bank statements and resolve questions or problems; maintains integrity of cash balances and cash flow systems.<\/p>\n

6.<\/strong>\u00a0Maintain other accounts and performs other accounting duties as required or as requested by the Finance Manager.<\/p>\n

7.<\/strong>\u00a0Performs other related duties as assigned<\/p>\n
