Magazine offers yearlong journalism fellowship

Experienced journalists with an interest in current affairs and magazine writing can apply for a fellowship in California.

Miller-McCune magazine is offering a one-year fellowship of US$18,000. Based in Santa Barbara, the national print magazine uses academic research and source reporting to provide social and policy news bimonthly.

Fellows will conduct story research, fact checking and interviews and write stories for the magazine and website. Other responsibilities include pairing stories with multimedia extras, uploading stories to the site and general production work.

Applicants should have strong research, reporting and writing skills and multimedia experience is a plus.

Submit two writing samples – 800 words max – and an online application by November 16.
