LDSPS seeks Advocacy & Outreach Manager

Local Development and Small-Projects Support (LDSPS) is looking to hire an Advocacy & Outreach Manager. The position is located in Gaziantep, Turkey.

About LDSPS

The mission of LDSPS is to empower sustainable local governing structures and local civil society initiatives to serve, represent, and advocate for all community members.

LDSPS has been operating in Eastern Ghouta since 2013 and has expanded to Western Aleppo Countryside as a part of its new Local Community Empowerment (LCE) strategy.

About the position

  • Title: Advocacy & Outreach Manager
  • Is appointed and reports to the Executive Director of the organization.

Responsibilities and tasks

The Advocacy & Outreach Manager will:

  • Participate in the management team meetings and decisions making.
  • Get internal feedback from the Management Team, including the local offices on the main subjects for advocacy and outreach actions.
  • Work the M&E and Studies team on preparing and performing the necessary studies to fill any gaps in the knowledge required for the advocacy and outreach actions design.
  • In coordination with LDSPS’s strategic partners and allies, work on defining the main axes for advocacy and outreach to be worked on by LDSPS.
  • Proposes the Advocacy & Outreach Quarterly Plan outlines (choice of axes and means for LDSPS’s advocacy and outreach effort) to the Management Team and get it approved.
  • Implements the advocacy and outreach plan.
  • Be responsible for the quality of the advocacy and outreach actions.
  • Follow-up with the local offices on the implementation of local outreach actions when such actions are decided.
  • Make sure that all the recommendations of the Board, the management team and the M&E and Internal Audit Manager, in regards to the advocacy and outreach management are followed.
  • Constantly follow-up the dynamic situation in Syria and work with the Management Team to constantly adapt and improve the Advocacy & Outreach Quarterly Plan.
