Job Title: Program Coordinator

Local Administration Councils Unit LACU is looking for a program coordinator to work under the supervision of the program manager in supporting the implementation of the different programs and coordinate its different aspects. He/she will be responsible for providing precise reporting of the project progress vs the target handover, and the quality of the execution as well as provides high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.

Work Requirements:

  • Experience around 2 years’ in Project Coordination and Project Management;
  • Excellent knowledge in MS Project and MS Office;
  • Excellent Arabic and English skills both spoken and written;
  • Experience with project scheduling, risk assessment and managing project progress;
  • Ability to work independently, effective in time management skills and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work sometimes in stressful condition and under tight schedule;
  • Good team player, flexible and politically and culturally sensitive.

Job Description:

  • Participate in the strategy development of the programs, identify needs and contributes to proposal writing;
  • Ensure the proper functioning of programs and ensure compliance with goals defined in the project proposal/s;
  • Translate from Arabic into English and vice versa spoken and written as required;
  • Liaise with beneficiaries and business partners with regard to the projects;
  • Liaise with project team members and with other divisions whenever required;
  • Assist in presentations and other reports and documents as needed;
  • Create and maintain database and spreadsheet files;
  • Arrange and coordinate events etc. when required;
  • Provide systematically full reports, as to progress in general, to supervisors
  • Manage the implementation of an M&E system to monitor progress and capture impact of projects and to make necessary adjustments to work plans if necessary in a timely manner;
  • Provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests;
  • Perform clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings;
  • Ensure that internal rules and procedures are known and respected;
  • Represent the organization and ensure good relations with stakeholders, local authorities and other NGOs;
  • Contribute to efforts aimed at ensuring compliance with safety rules at all times;
  • Perform other relevant duties as required
